Purpose and Content

The aim of the course Criticize, compare and interpret Civilisations of around Mediterenean and Ecols of art in Europe,terminology and art developments since pre-historic age till the end of Renaissance period. Generic competences of Art History Rational, Questioning,Creative,ethical and moral rules,respect differences,Critical Thinking,Abstract analysis and synthesis,to work in interdisciplinary projects
Course Content What is Art and meaning of Art in Prehistoric Age.Monuments builts ,sculptures,reliefs and paintings in caves and on rocks in paleolitic,mezolitic and neolitic age.Art of Mesopotamie Civilations, Egypt Art,Anatolian Civilations .Art of Civilations of Crete,Minoan and Mycenaean on the Cyclades Islands and Greece( Mythology,samples of architectures,sculptures and potteries and paintings) and Etrusk and Roman Art (architectures,sculptures and potteries and paintings)Early Christian and Byzantium Art.Europe Art in Medieval Age(Recognize,identify and evaluate and interpret of samples Roman and Gothic Arts and Renesance art.
