Purpose and Content

The aim of the course To teach poems written in Old Anatolian Turkish, Ottoman Turkish and Chagatai Turkish, to make them understandable, to comprehend, to have an idea on artwork.
Course Content The principles of the three main methods used to annotate the ancient Turkish poetry and their application on different literary genres and different texts; Making evaluations.

Weekly Course Subjects

1The importance of the course: The demonstration of the different results of working on any old poetry with or without the method. (Religious-mystical texts and non-religious texts to be studied).
2Which texts are made on the text sheriff? Examples: text in need of repair, some elements of the text changed, the wrong choice in the critical edition of the text)
3Method 1: M. Fuad Köprülü method. Examples.
4Application and results of M. Fuad Köprülü method on different types of poems.
5Application and results of M. Fuad Köprülü method on different types of poems.
6The commentary method according to Sufi. (Examples: Ali Nihat Tarlan, Fuzuli Divanı Şerhi, Gazel Şerhi samples.)
7The commentary method according to Sufi. (Continued) (Mevlevi Burhanuddin stories about Nasreddin Hoca Efendi and annotate)
8Mid-term examination.

12Inconsiderations arising from the commentator's basic information deficiencies. (Example: Na't and mi'raciye are written incorrectly.)
