Purpose and Content

The aim of the course	To teach poems written in Old Anatolian Turkish, Ottoman Turkish and Chagatai Turkish, to make them understandable, to comprehend, to have an idea on artwork.
Course Content	The principles of the three main methods used to annotate the ancient Turkish poetry and their application on different literary genres and different texts; Making evaluations.

Learning Outcomes

Explains the historical development of Turkish language and literature according to countries and ecoles.
Introduces "well-known personalities in the historical period and fields of Turkish literature" and their works from the first examples to the present.
Describes the relationship between language and literary theories and other disciplines.
Evaluates the works of Turkish language and literature in various periods and fields in terms of Turkish cultural history.
Evaluates the fields and ecoles of the field within its historical depth and geographical width.
Follows bibliography of studies on Turkish language and literature in written, printed and virtual platforms.
Defines and interprets a work or process related to the field and solves the encountered problems with contemporary methods.
Examines the works related to the field according to comparative language and literature methods.
Uses the theoretical and practical savings of the field of Turkish language and literature in the research and analysis process.
Identifies and defines problems related to the field of Turkish language and literature and offers solutions to them.
Explain the universal and social effects and legal consequences of field execution.
Reads, transcribes, translates to Turkish and examines the written texts of the historical and contemporary dialects of the Turkish language, written in different alphabets.
Analyzes the oral-written, verse and prose texts of the Turkish language and literature in terms of language science methods and literary theories.
Selects and applies analysis and modeling methods suitable for problems relevant to the field of Turkish language and literature.
It effectively uses information technologies together with modern tools in field applications.
Designs a research on the chosen subject, collects the necessary data and analyzes the results.
Archives the data of the prepared project and the conducted research.
Individually, conducts research, applications and projects related to the field.
Students take responsibility as team members in research, application and project related to their field.
Students evaluate the knowledge and skills they gained in the field with a critical approach.
Acts according to professional ethics and professional responsibility awareness.

1	The importance of the course: The demonstration of the different results of working on any old poetry with or without the method. (Religious-mystical texts and non-religious texts to be studied).
2	Which texts are made on the text sheriff? Examples: text in need of repair, some elements of the text changed, the wrong choice in the critical edition of the text)
3	Method 1: M. Fuad Köprülü method. Examples.
4	Application and results of M. Fuad Köprülü method on different types of poems.
5	Application and results of M. Fuad Köprülü method on different types of poems.
6	The commentary method according to Sufi. (Examples: Ali Nihat Tarlan, Fuzuli Divanı Şerhi, Gazel Şerhi samples.)
7	The commentary method according to Sufi. (Continued) (Mevlevi Burhanuddin stories about Nasreddin Hoca Efendi and annotate)
8	Mid-term examination.
9	3. New methods.
10	New methods. (Continuation and practice)
11	New methods. (Continuation and practice)
12	Inconsiderations arising from the commentator's basic information deficiencies. (Example: Na't and mi'raciye are written incorrectly.)
13	Methods applied to old Turkish literature taken from Western literatures. (Cem Dilçin, Structuralist approach.)
14	Repetition of the information gained in the course.
