Purpose and Content

The aim of the course Teaching how to practice intellectual criticism and correct reasonning, and teaching how to argue new problems in psychology by means of philosophical reasoning.
Course Content Teaching philosophical schools and thoughts in western philosophy in order to provide students a firm philosophical basis for new and fresh ideas in psychology.

1Teaching the different meanings of the term of philosophy.
2Teaching different cultural structure from east to west in the beginning of the western philosophy.
3Teaching the beginning of greek philosophy from Thales to Sokrates
4Teaching Socratic philosophy and sophists and the impacts of this tradition to our era.
5Teaching the philosophy of Plato
6Teaching the philosophy of Aristotles
7Teaching the Islamic philosophy
8Teaching Descartes and the beginning of modern philosophy
